We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (Band 6) to join our Adult Social Care team in Beeston, Nottingham. This locum role offers a competitive hourly rate of £41.28, with the flexibility of part-time hours if desired. Key Responsibilities
- Complete moving and handling assessments within the community, ensuring safe and effective practices.
- Work within the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) process, coordinating necessary home adaptations.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to support individuals in maintaining independence and improving their quality of life.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, carers, and service users to develop personalised care plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and professionals to ensure a person-centred approach.
- Exhibit flexibility in work approaches, actively contributing to team initiatives and service improvements.
Essential Requirements
- HCPC registration (Health & Care Professions Council) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist within Adult Social Care.
- Strong understanding of legislation, policies, and best practices in Occupational Therapy.
- Excellent communication and assessment skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Driving license preferred, as the role involves working across multiple sites.
