Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting students with diverse learning needs, including SEN and behavioural challenges
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and accessible humanities lessons to all students
- Providing one-to-one or small group support to help students understand key concepts and succeed academically
- Encouraging the development of social, emotional, and interpersonal skills to help students engage fully in school life
- Helping implement individual learning plans in collaboration with teachers and SENCO
- Assisting with behaviour management to promote a positive and productive learning environment
- Using your humanities expertise to enhance students’ understanding of history, literature, and other key subjects
- Promoting inclusivity, ensuring that all students feel supported and valued
Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
- A 2:1 degree or higher in Humanities or a related field
- Passion for teaching and supporting students with diverse educational needs
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas in an accessible way
- Patience, empathy, and flexibility to adapt to the individual needs of each student
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is an advantage, but not essential
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to contribute positively to the students' development
- Interest in pursuing a career in education, teaching, or SEN support
