Senior Practitioner - Adult Mental Health in Walsall (UK) earning £33.33 hourly. Walsall Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker Senior Practitioner to join their dynamic Adult Mental Health Team. A valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle is essential. Comprehensive knowledge of the Mental Health Act and related legal frameworks, along with at least three years of experience, will equip you to excel in this role.

What you will do:

  • Provide professional guidance and support as part of the Hub Team, working through a rota system that includes out-of-hours and weekend responsibilities.
  • Carry out mental health assessments in line with the Mental Health Act and other related legal frameworks.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other agencies to ensure the provision of comprehensive support services.
  • Use the Mosaic system to record and manage casework effectively.
  • Assess and manage the power dynamics and potential discrimination within mental health practices, ensuring fair and equitable treatment for all service users.
