Here lies an exciting opportunity to step into a dynamic role as a Youth Justice Social Worker within Stockport's Youth Justice & Complex Safeguarding Service. We're inviting individuals to join our spirited team in preventing offending and reoffending among Stockport's youth, with a 'child-first' mentality at the forefront of our work. You will be engaged in full-time responsibilities where you will also manage children who are remanded in custody as part of our looked after children procedures.

What you will do:

• Manage a caseload effectively, including those children involved in looked after children procedures.
• Conduct assessments and manage complex cases with a focus on targeted interventions to reduce risks.
• Develop and present high-quality reports and sentencing proposals for Court presentations.
• Engage proactively with families, providing support that adheres to desistance and engagement principles while ensuring safety for victims and the community.
• Foster collaboration with families and carers, working towards crime prevention and social inclusion for the youth.
