Hgv 1 Driver in Slough, South East

KPI Recruiting are on the look out for a HGV 1 Driver for our client based in Slough.

As a HGV 1 Driver your working hours and days:

• 5 out of 7 days per week
• Day Start time between 02:00- 09:00 finish time varies
• Night Start time 14:00- 21:00 finish time varies

The rate of pay as a HGV 1 Driver is:

• Day Shift as a LTD Driver £18.00 p/h
• Night Shift as a LTD Driver £20.00 p/h
• Weekend Shift as a LTD Driver £22.00 p/h

The duties and responsibilities as a HGV 1 Driver are:

• Driving Class 1 vehicles for trunking or store deliveries
• Delivering goods safely and efficiently to client depots or stores
• Completing vehicle checks and paperwork to DVSA standards
• Representing the client with a professional and helpful attitude
• Supporting with loading/unloading (minimal handball in most roles)

The ideal candidate for a HGV 1 Driver would need:

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
• CPC qualification and digital Tacho card
• Good communication and time management skills
• Safety-first mindset and attention to detail
• Minimum 6 months experience preferred (new passes welcome in some roles)
• Assessment required prior to start
• Flexibility for shift patterns (including weekends where required)
• Reliable transport to reach site (depending on location)
• Must be LTD Driver
