Teaching Assistant in Bishop's Cleeve, Gloucestershire

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded Primary School in Bishops Cleeve. This OFSTED rated Good school is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 Class Teacher on a full-time basis until the end of the academic year. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced TA looking to work in a friendly and supportive Primary School environment.

Job Role:

• Support the Class Teacher with the delivery of the National Curriculum in a Year 1 class

   

• Work with small groups and individual pupils to aid understanding and progress

   

• Assist with classroom organisation, displays and learning resources

   

• Provide feedback to the Class Teacher and SENCo on pupil progress

   

• Encourage pupil engagement and behaviour management in line with school policy

   

• Ensure the safety and welfare of children at all times

   

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience working in a UK Primary School setting

   

• Understanding of the National Curriculum and Key Stage 1 (KS1)

   

• Experience working in a Year 1 Class

   

• Available full-time, 5 days per week, until the end of the academic year

   

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

   

• Experience working as a TA or Teaching Assistant supporting a Class Teacher
