Sen Teaching Assistant in Wolverhampton, West Midlands

Are you a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Flourish Education is working with a welcoming one-form entry primary school in Wolverhampton, rated ‘Good’ by OFSTED, to recruit a committed SEND Teaching Assistant for a 1:1 classroom-based role.

Starting after the Easter break in April 2025 and continuing until July 2025, this is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.

About the Role:

You will be providing 1:1 support to a child in Year 2 with Autism and challenging behaviour, working closely alongside the class teacher to ensure they are fully supported in their learning and day-to-day development. This is a classroom-based role where you'll be an integral part of the teaching and support team.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience supporting children with Autism and challenging behaviour
• A calm, patient and adaptable approach to support and behaviour management
• A strong understanding of inclusive education and the needs of pupils with SEND
• A genuine passion for helping pupils thrive both academically and emotionally

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
• Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
• A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
• A minimum of 2 excellent references

Working for Flourish Education as a Teaching Assistant (LSA) you will receive

• Competitive Salary – between £88.92-£100 per day depending on experience, which equates to £17,9.40-£19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
