Key Responsibilities:

Lead and Manage Complex Cases

Take responsibility for complex and sensitive cases involving children in care.

Provide expert guidance and leadership across a range of statutory duties including assessments, care planning, and safeguarding interventions.

Mentorship and Professional Development

Support and mentor junior social workers, encouraging professional development.

Deliver reflective supervision and promote a culture of continuous learning and high standards of practice.

Collaborative Working and Multi-Agency Engagement

Build and maintain effective relationships with children, families, and professionals.

Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver holistic, child-centred support plans.

Court and Legal Proceedings

Prepare and present detailed reports for court hearings, case conferences, and reviews.

Offer expert input in legal proceedings concerning children at risk, helping to inform key decisions.

Case Record Maintenance and Compliance

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant records in accordance with statutory and departmental guidelines.
