Social Worker - Locality Team - Cheltenham UK, earning £43 Hourly. This ongoing, full-time opportunity is perfect for those who are ready to make a difference in the community while enjoying the attractive benefits of locum work. The role is based in the charming town of Cheltenham, known for its beautiful parks, gardens, and vibrant cultural scene.

Perks and benefits:
As a locum, you will enjoy the flexibility that allows you to strike a great work-life balance, which is perfect for those who like to tailor their schedules to suit their lives. You will also have access to generous remuneration, making locum work financially rewarding. We throw in a supportive network that ensures your transition and work experience is seamless and stress-free. Plus, enjoy the benefit of exploring different areas of social work without the long-term commitment.

We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join our Children & Families Team in the Forest of Dean. Here, you will hold a caseload of around 18 children and provide effective, evidence-based interventions with a keen focus on timeliness and impact. The caseload will be a blend of CIN, CP, and CIC cases, including some court work. We understand the importance of balancing work and home life, which is why we offer flexible working arrangements, including the possibility of home working where the role allows, and based on the needs of the team and the families we support. You will be equipped with a laptop and smartphone to facilitate this flexibility. However, there is an expectation of being in the office three days a week, and all children are to be seen face-to-face unless there is a confirmed case of COVID.

What you will do:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of children and families requiring intervention
  • Conduct assessments to support the development of personalised care plans
  • Collaborate with other professionals in the health and social care sectors
  • Attend and contribute to court proceedings as required
  • Engage with children and families to provide support and guidance
  • Ensure all records are maintained accurately and timely
