Social Worker – Fostering & Assessment – Liverpool (UK) – £35 Hourly, Full-time, Ongoing

This is an exciting opportunity to join our vibrant team in Liverpool as a Locum Social Worker specialising in Fostering & Assessment. Offering an hourly rate of £35, this ongoing full-time role presents the perfect avenue for professional growth and fulfilling work. What you will do:

  • Oversee a diverse and complex caseload while maintaining a child-centred approach.
  • Conduct thorough Form C Assessments with creativity and motivation, ensuring excellent service delivery and improved outcomes for children and young people.
  • Utilise your strong background in children and families to make effective decisions in the recruitment and assessment of foster carers.
  • Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, legislation, statutory guidance, and processes.
  • Work on-site at least three days per week in Liverpool, applying your expertise to provide stable placements for children.


Ideal candidates should have more than three years of post-qualifying experience in children's social work and a comprehensive understanding of fostering and kinship care. Commitment to the full length of the placement, running until October 2025, is required. You should reside within an hour's commute to Liverpool and hold a valid driving licence.
