Here's an exciting opportunity to make a genuine impact as a Locum Social Worker within Together for Families in Berkshire. This role offers an exceptional hourly salary of £42 and the flexibility of full-time or part-time hours. As part of our innovative team, you’ll get to work within our new hybrid approach, spending one duty week in the office and the other seven weeks working remotely. This unique model allows you to maintain essential client visits while enjoying a balanced work-life schedule with 2 days per week in the office during remote weeks.

Here in Together for Families, part of Brighter Futures for Children, we pride ourselves on pioneering trauma-informed, relational social work practice. Our mission is to support every child in achieving a happy, healthy, and successful life. Operating within four dedicated Together for Families Teams, you will engage with children during S.17 single assessments and S.47 child protection investigations, while also managing cases subject to CIN Plans, CP Plans, and CLA. Your devotion ensures children remain with their allocated social worker throughout their cases, reducing transitions and fostering stronger relational practice.

What you will do:
- Conduct thorough assessments under S.17 and participate actively in S.47 child protection investigations.
- Develop and manage child-in-need, child protection, and looked-after children plans alongside our collaborative teams.
- Foster stronger partnerships with children and families, promoting relational-based interventions and sustainable support solutions.
- Work closely with other professionals in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive child-centric services.
- Remain accountable for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
