What you will do:

- Carry a number of complex cases, including care proceedings, making assessments of needs, planning appropriate resources, and monitoring and reviewing in line with the policy framework.
- Collaborate with other agencies to provide effective children's services to individuals and families, and develop effective partnership working.
- Offer informal support to less experienced social workers within the team, contributing to on-the-job training related to team policies, procedures, and induction arrangements.
- Engage with children and families to build quality relationships that directly impact outcomes, empowering service users and supporting them in understanding and managing risks.
- Contribute to the delivery of the service’s engagement strategy, maintaining responsibility for specific relationships as required.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all available services, using evidence-based matching to maximise benefit.
- Keep detailed records evidencing engagement with children and families, aligning with the quality assurance framework.
- Participate in quality assurance exercises, adapting personal practice in response to findings, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant research and legislation.
- Apply research evidence, legislation, and policy in practice, ensuring all actions from assessments to service matching reflect this knowledge.
