Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care programmes to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

  • Deliver care in line with the Emergency Department’s philosophy and established clinical guidelines.

  • Supervise, mentor, and support newly appointed nursing staff through coaching and on-the-job guidance.

  • Act as a clinical supervisor to aid in the development of both qualified nurses and nursing auxiliaries.

  • Support the orientation and induction of new team members to ensure a seamless integration into the department.

  • Take responsibility for the comprehensive care of a designated patient group, ensuring clear and effective communication with the wider healthcare team.

  • Uphold the standards outlined by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and ensure strict compliance with all health and safety regulations.
