Main Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting patients’ physical and emotional wellbeing.

• Assist with the induction and training of new or less experienced staff, contributing to ward orientation programmes.

• Promote and protect the rights, dignity, and equality of patients and their families at all times.

• Maintain effective communication within the healthcare team, promptly reporting any changes in a patient's condition to a Registered Nurse.

• Adhere to health, safety, and infection control protocols to maintain a secure ward environment.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service through participation in learning and development activities.

• Safeguard vulnerable individuals by supporting abuse prevention initiatives and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.

• Promote patient awareness of health issues through access to health education resources and materials.

• Assist with the safe handling and movement of patients, always ensuring their comfort and dignity.

Job Summary

The postholder will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients. This role also includes mentoring and supporting new team members during their induction. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, uphold patient confidentiality, and contribute to a collaborative and patient-centred environment.
