Locum Adults Social Worker Position in Wokingham - £38 Hourly

This is an exciting opportunity for a Locum Adults Social Worker to work full-time in Wokingham, focusing on adults aged 18 and over. You will engage in direct work with individuals who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities, long-term conditions, young carers, and those transitioning into adulthood, as well as older people. The role is ongoing and aims to help individuals live safely and independently in the community, while supporting carers in their essential roles.

What you will do:

• Work within the Adult Social Care team 18+, engaging directly with customers to assess their needs and provide tailored support.
• Conduct home visits and be office-based at least once a week, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication.
• Utilise your experience with dementia, drug and alcohol-related issues, homelessness, hoarding, Section 42 inquiries, carers assessments, and community work.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to maximise the strengths and abilities of individuals, promoting their independence and wellbeing.
• Support young carers and those transitioning into adulthood, guiding them through this critical period and helping them build resilience.

Candidate requirements:

• Hold a degree or equivalent in social work with current Social Work England registration.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in adult social care, showcasing your ability to handle complex cases.
• Be a car driver with access to a vehicle, allowing you to effectively manage your workload across various locations.
• Demonstrate significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK as a qualified Social Worker.
