As an Advanced Social Work Practitioner, you will be at the forefront of improving the lives of children in care. Your main focus will be to ensure high-quality social work practice within your team. You will lead, mentor, and develop other social workers, promoting restorative practices and carrying a reduced caseload of complex cases.

What you will do:

• Lead and develop the professional practice of your team members to ensure high standards.
• Model restorative practices to foster positive change within families and communities.
• Hold a reduced caseload comprising complex and challenging cases involving children and young people.
• Support and deputise for the Team Manager as and when required.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice techniques to support professional development.
• Engage in significant advocacy for children and their families, focusing on achieving the best possible outcomes.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Social Work qualified professional registered with Social Work England.
• Substantial post-qualifying experience working with children and their carers.
• Expertise in navigating a pressurised social work environment.
• Up-to-date knowledge of social work legislation and best practices.
