As an Advanced Social Work Practitioner, you will be at the forefront of improving the lives of children in care. Your main focus will be to ensure high-quality social work practice within your team. You will lead, mentor, and develop other social workers, promoting restorative practices and carrying a reduced caseload of complex cases.
What you will do:
- Lead and develop the professional practice of your team members to ensure high standards.
- Model restorative practices to foster positive change within families and communities.
- Hold a reduced caseload comprising complex and challenging cases involving children and young people.
- Support and deputise for the Team Manager as and when required.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice techniques to support professional development.
- Engage in significant advocacy for children and their families, focusing on achieving the best possible outcomes.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Social Work qualified professional registered with Social Work England.
- Substantial post-qualifying experience working with children and their carers.
- Expertise in navigating a pressurised social work environment.
- Up-to-date knowledge of social work legislation and best practices.
