Embark on an exciting professional journey as a Band 6 Midwife at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking dynamic and skilled midwives for an initial six-week placement, offering both day and night shifts, as well as weekday and weekend opportunities. Work in a vibrant maternity setting with the chance to build your experience while enjoying flexible scheduling. Shift times available are 07:00 to 19:30 and 19:30 to 07:30.

What you will do:

• Provide comprehensive midwifery care throughout the stages of pregnancy, labour, and postpartum periods.
• Offer personalised support and advice to expectant mothers and their families.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, paediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care for mothers and babies.
• Conduct regular antenatal check-ups and assessments.
• Assist in the delivery process, ensuring the safety and comfort of both mother and child.
• Manage complications when they arise and escalate where necessary, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

• Valid NMC registration as a Midwife.
• Previous NHS midwifery experience.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, high-paced maternity setting.
• Up-to-date mandatory training is preferred.
• Enhanced DBS is required.
