Contract: Locum, Full Time, 3 Months

Join an exciting opportunity as a Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) – Prison Cleared within the Prison Service in Boston. This full-time locum role offers an initial three-month contract with flexible shift patterns between 07:30–18:00 and 07:30–21:00. What you will do:

Deliver high-quality mental health nursing care to patients within the prison environment.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans for service users with complex mental health needs.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care.
Administer medication safely and in accordance with professional guidelines.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation.
Promote mental health awareness and wellbeing among patients and colleagues.
Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and continuous professional development.
Carry out risk assessments and contribute to maintaining a safe and secure healthcare environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC registration.
Prison clearance is essential.
Previous experience working within prison healthcare or secure mental health services is highly desirable.
Excellent assessment, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
Ability to work flexibly across a range of shifts.
