What you will do:
- Strategically lead, develop and implement a high-quality clinical pharmacy service as part of the multidisciplinary teams in the Medicine division.
- Develop a strategic vision and roadmap for pharmacy services, leveraging the diverse skills of the wider pharmacy team.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to promote the safe and effective use of drugs, providing guidance on new drugs to the relevant directorate or division.
- Deliver advanced clinical services to patients, including face-to-face work in areas such as Emergency and Acute Medicine, Medical Specialities, and Care of Older People and Frailty.
- Lead and manage the pharmacy clinical team within the Medicine division, ensuring service delivery to agreed standards in alignment with business planning.
- Oversee the development and delivery of training for pharmacy staff and other groups within the specialist clinical area as required.
- Support audit and research and champion the use of Quality Improvement (QI) methodology at all possible opportunities.
Qualifications and requirements:
- You must be registered with the GPhc and possess a valid driving licence to travel across locations as needed.
