What you will do:
- Efficiently cut at least 25 blocks per hour, including complex cases, showcasing your precision and attention to detail.
- Conduct microtomy, embedding, and microscopic quality control of histological samples to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Support clerical duties by booking in samples on the lab information system, as well as performing manual special stains when required, depending on your experience.
- Demonstrate your expertise through a face-to-face interview and practical assessment prior to starting, highlighting your readiness for this vital role.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- HCPC registration and a relevant qualification in biomedical science or an alternative qualification in a related field.
- Demonstrable post-qualifying experience within biomedical science, ideally from a UK laboratory setting.
