What You Will Do:

• Help implement a revised approach to Child Protection Conferencing based on the Signs of Safety model, ensuring plans capture family strengths and key risk factors.
• Explore innovative mechanisms to ensure children's voices are heard and valued in CP and LAC reviews.
• Chair multi-agency reviews and conferences, providing specialist consultation and quality assurance.
• Be responsible for decision making, ensuring reviews comply with statutory timescales and professional standards.
• Promote child-centred, outcome-focused plans that incorporate both resilience factors and challenges.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with key partners to enhance children’s outcomes.
• Monitor performance to ensure children's views are integral to decision making and planning.
• Advocate for equality, fairness, and dignity in every interaction and decision.

Leadership and Quality Assurance:

• Provide independent leadership and advice on practice matters within children’s services.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation to ensure proactive service responses.
• Audit and review individual cases to ensure safety and quality of practice, providing constructive feedback.
