What you will do:

• Collaborate with the Clinical Lead Consultant and team to provide seamless 24/7 emergency medicine services.
• Provide leadership and supervision, including the training of Associate Specialists and Nurse Practitioners in the Emergency Department.
• Maintain high standards of clinical governance, contributing to service development and planning with Health and Social Care managers.
• Participate actively in the hospital’s teaching programmes, supporting the continuous professional development of all medical staff.
• Engage in clinical audits, research, and policy compliance to enhance service delivery and quality improvement initiatives.
• Offer on-site support during major incidents and maintain an on-call presence as part of a rotational shift pattern.
• Support the operational logistics of the Emergency Department, including maintaining electronic patient records.
