About You, To be considered for this role, you will :

  • Hold HLTA status or have experience working at HLTA level
  • Hold a University Degree of 2:1 or above (or be predicted to achieve this)
  • Have experience delivering whole-class lessons across the primary curriculum
  • Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills
  • Have a sound understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Be confident adapting learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be proactive, organised, and flexible in your approach
  • Have a genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
  • Have the right to work in the UK

The Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will work closely with teachers and senior leaders to deliver high-quality learning experiences and support pupils in reaching their full academic, social, and emotional potential. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering planned lessons across the primary curriculum during teacher release time and staff absence
  • Supporting teaching and learning across a range of year groups
  • Leading small-group interventions in literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum areas
  • Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning needs
  • Supporting children with SEND and helping to remove barriers to learning
  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
  • Promoting positive behaviour and creating an engaging learning environment
  • Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and assessment activities
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and external professionals
