An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team at a busy manufacturing site in Aberdeen.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a hands-on role, working across a range of production machinery while helping to keep the site running safely, efficiently and reliably.

You’ll be joining a positive engineering team where teamwork, communication and mutual respect are at the heart of the working environment.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of production machinery and site equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).

• Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault finding and repairs.

• Completing reactive and corrective maintenance.

• Supporting both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.

• Supporting continuous improvement and engineering improvement projects.

• Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime.

• Ensuring machinery and equipment are maintained safely and efficiently.

• Supporting the reliability and performance of production equipment.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on engineering role where your experience and technical skills will have a direct impact on site performance.

Requirements

Essential:

• A recognised Engineering qualification – Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent.

• Previous experience working as an Engineer within an industrial, manufacturing or similar environment.

Desirable:

• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer.

• Experience carrying out planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance.

• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.

• Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery.

• Ability to fault find using PLC inputs and outputs.

• Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.

• Engineering experience gained within the Armed Forces is also welcomed.
