An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading packaging manufacturing company based in Stoke Ferry. The business is continuing to invest heavily into the site and is looking to strengthen its engineering team with the addition of a skilled Maintenance Engineer on a permanent nights shift.

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of packaging and production machinery, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime across the factory.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer looking for a long-term role within a stable and growing manufacturing environment offering strong earning potential.

Non-Negotiable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

• Engineering Qualification / Apprenticeship
• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Ability to work permanent nights
• Manufacturing or production environment experience

Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across site
• Responding quickly and effectively to machinery breakdowns
• Fault finding on production and packaging equipment
• Supporting continuous improvement projects
• Ensuring engineering documentation is completed accurately
• Working closely with production teams to maximise machine performance
• Maintaining high health and safety standards at all times

Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

• Packaging industry experience
• Engineering qualification
• PLC fault-finding experience
• Multi-skilled engineering background
• Experience working with automated production machinery
