Pipefitter Welder in Skelmersdale, North West

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established engineering business in their search for a Pipefitter Welder to work in Skelmersdale.

Job Details:

• Pay: Up to £28.00 per hour (CIS)
• Overtime available & paid at enhanced rates
• Hours of Work: 7:00am–4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 7:00am–12:00pm Friday (41 hours per week)
• Duration: Temporary (On-going)
• Benefits: Immediate trade tests available

Job Role: As a Pipefitter Welder, you will be based entirely within the workshop, fabricating a wide range of components from start to finish. The Pipefitter Welder will carry out TIG and MIG welding on ferrous and non-ferrous materials, alongside pipe fabrication and welding using stainless steel and carbon steel. You will interpret engineering drawings to complete mechanical pipefitting tasks accurately, carrying out measuring, cutting, threading, welding and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process. This Pipefitter Welder role offers ongoing work within a busy engineering environment.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Pipe fabrication and fitting.
• TIG pipe welding.
• Competent working from engineering drawings.
• Experience working with stainless steel and carbon steel.

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent in Welding and Fabrication.
• Previously coded in TIG welding, ideally 6G.
• Previous experience as a Pipefitter Welder.

• All work is workshop based.
• Working with both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
• Immediate trade tests available.
