Project Manager in Birmingham, West Midlands

Our client a well known and large engineering consultancy business are actively looking to hire a Project Manager to work on a large Rail based project.

Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Birmingham
Duration: 8 Months
Rates: Competitive (Inside IR35/Umbrella)
Hybrid working - 2 to 3 Days in Birmingham

A strong Project Manager required who has the ability to plan and integrate projects to deliver target costs, dependencies, risk management and project benefits. 

Problem Solving – The ability to identify problems and review related information to assist in the development and evaluation of options and the implementation of solutions, including the ability to manage and plan workstreams, considering the competing demands of stakeholders, cost, time and quality. 

Decision Making – The ability to manage the gathering and synthesising of necessary information to assist in the identification of options and the application of judgement based on logic and reason. 

Analysis - The ability to analyse inputs, assess data in order to assist in the development of strategies and document supporting rationales

Influencing & Negotiating – The ability to influence and negotiate with internal functions and external supply chain partners. 

Building Relationships – Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and externa lstake-holders and suppliers to resolve emergent risk situations. 

Experience Required:

• Strong Project Management experience
• Solid background in either Rail or Engineering, preferrable Rail
• Ability to manage and own large complex projects
• Knowledge of NEC3 Contracts ESSENTIAL
• Strong Communication Skills
• Strong Stakeholder Engagement/Management
