Psychosocial Team Lead within Substance Misuse Services at HMP Winchester, earning up to £42,000 per annum. This full-time opportunity offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within a dynamic prison healthcare environment. Based at HMP Winchester, a Category B prison for males, you will play a pivotal role in leading psychosocial interventions and supporting individuals on their recovery journey. What you will do

Service Leadership: Support the Integrated Substance Misuse Service Manager in delivering and developing high-quality substance misuse services.
Clinical Expertise: Lead psychosocial interventions and act as the subject matter expert within the service.
Service Development: Ensure treatment approaches remain innovative, evidence-based, and responsive to service user needs.
Team Management: Provide leadership, supervision, and line management support to Recovery Workers.
Case Management: Manage a small caseload of complex service users, ensuring personalised care planning and intervention.
Resource Allocation: Oversee the allocation of referrals and ensure appropriate interventions are delivered efficiently.
Multi-Disciplinary Working: Work closely with healthcare professionals and prison staff to deliver integrated care.
Quality Assurance: Monitor service performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Service User Engagement: Promote and support service user involvement in recovery planning and service development.

Qualifications / Requirements

Education: NVQ Level 5 or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject such as addiction studies, psychology, counselling, social work, or a related discipline.
Substance Misuse Experience: Significant experience working within substance misuse services.
Leadership Skills: Previous management, supervisory, or team leadership experience.
Multi-Agency Working: Proven ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with external agencies and stakeholders.
Service Development Experience: Experience developing and implementing service user involvement initiatives.
Knowledge: Understanding of DANOS (Drug and Alcohol National Occupational Standards).
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and leadership abilities.
Commitment to Rehabilitation: Passion for supporting recovery and improving outcomes for vulnerable individuals.
