What you will do

• Undertake comprehensive assessments of children with physical disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments within community settings.
• Assess, recommend, and arrange specialist equipment and seating solutions.
• Complete major and minor adaptations assessments to support independence and safety.
• Undertake moving and handling assessments and develop appropriate support plans.
• Carry out Occupational Therapy housing assessments and provide recommendations for suitable adaptations.
• Manage a complex caseload across both Children's and Adult Services.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and professional support to colleagues.
• Line manage two Occupational Therapists, supporting their development and performance.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, person-centred care.
• Produce high-quality assessments, reports, and clinical documentation.
• Contribute to service development and promote best practice within Occupational Therapy services.

Requirements

• Professional Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC Registration: Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
• Community Experience: Proven experience within community Occupational Therapy services.
• Children and Adults Experience: Experience working across both Children's and Adult Services.
• Specialist Knowledge: Expertise in supporting individuals with physical disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Equipment and Seating Assessments: Strong experience recommending specialist equipment and seating solutions.
• Adaptations Knowledge: Experience completing major and minor adaptations assessments.
• Housing Assessments: Experience undertaking Occupational Therapy housing assessments.
• Clinical Reasoning: Ability to independently manage complex cases and make sound clinical decisions.
• Leadership Skills: Previous experience providing supervision, support, or line management is desirable.
