What you will do:

  • Carry out core assessments, pre-birth assessments, and comprehensive risk assessments to ensure child safety.
  • Conduct Section 47 child protection investigations and represent the authority by providing evidence in court.
  • Prepare detailed statements for court, completing Section 7 and 37 reports.
  • Undertake regular home visits to monitor safety and progress, safeguarding children within their environments.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date case recordings and convene core group meetings.
  • Liaise with other professionals to coordinate support services.
  • Enter into joint investigations with police forces when necessary and see care proceedings through.
  • Draft and review comprehensive care plans while supervising contact sessions.
  • Write detailed reports for case conferences, attending essential strategy meetings.
  • Develop and implement child in need plans to provide curated support for families.
