What you will do
- Manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision, guidance, and support.
- Prepare written statements and represent cases at court hearings within legislative and procedural frameworks.
- Make critical decisions regarding caseloads using professional judgement, evidence-based tools, and reflective practice.
- Apply social work theories, models, and interventions to support children, families, groups, and communities.
- Assess risk and need in complex situations, delivering services to children who are at risk, in need, or looked after.
- Lead multi-agency partnerships and coordinate plans to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
- Communicate effectively in high-risk situations and support colleagues in developing these skills.
- Participate in multidisciplinary forums and undertake the role of Chair when required.
- Engage in direct work with children and families in line with agreed care plans.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies, and professionals across organisational boundaries.
- Promote the voice of the child and ensure their wishes and feelings are central to decision-making.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
