What you will do

  • Manage and oversee complex caseloads involving safeguarding, high-risk situations, and multi-agency working.

  • Undertake and quality assure Care Act assessments, reviews, support planning, and safeguarding enquiries.

  • Apply advanced knowledge of relevant legislation to support robust decision-making and risk management.

  • Act as a practice leader, providing mentoring, supervision, and professional guidance to social workers and newly qualified staff.

  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver coordinated and effective outcomes.

  • Promote best practice, professional standards, and compliance with council policies and procedures.


Essential requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.

  • Significant experience within Adults Social Care, including complex case management and safeguarding.

  • Strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and related legislation.

  • Proven ability to provide leadership, mentoring, and professional guidance within a team setting.
