What you will do:

Manage a complex caseload of children under Child Protection (Section 47) and Child in Need (Section 17).
Undertake and oversee advanced statutory assessments, risk assessments, and care planning.
Provide practice leadership, mentoring, and support to social workers.
Lead and contribute to strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and core group meetings.
Prepare high-quality court reports, including involvement in Public Law Outline (PLO) and care proceedings.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent)
Evidence of continued professional development
Post-qualifying training (desirable)

Registration & Compliance:

Registered with Social Work England
Knowledge of Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and Public Law Outline (PLO)
Enhanced DBS clearance
