What You Will Do

  • Work with children in mainstream schools across Westminster and Chelsea, completing EHCNAs and delivering provision in line with EHCP requirements.

  • Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for children with complex communication needs and dysphagia where appropriate.

  • Collaborate closely with parents, school staff, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and effective care.

  • Develop and implement individualised Speech & Language Therapy programmes.

  • Provide specialist advice and guidance on the management of children with communication difficulties.

  • Maintain professional accountability, recognising your own limitations and seeking advice when required.

  • Supervise and support less experienced colleagues and students, providing peer review and second opinions.

  • Deliver training to school staff and other professionals, sharing specialist knowledge and best practice.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent in Speech & Language Therapy.

  • HCPC registration.

  • Experience working in paediatric Speech & Language Therapy, ideally within school settings.

  • Strong assessment, report writing, and care planning skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

  • Experience completing EHCNAs and working with EHCPs.

  • Experience with complex needs and/or dysphagia.
