A fantastic locum opportunity has become available for a Band 7 Ultrasound Sonographer to join the IMGL Sonography Team across Glasgow’s prestigious QEUH and PRM hospital sites. You will perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations, contributing to high‑quality diagnostic services while collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities / What You Will Do

  • Perform a wide range of ultrasound scans, including:
    • Dating & screening
    • Fetal anomaly
    • Growth
    • Cervical length
    • Placental site
    • Post‑natal examinations
  • Provide expert assessments and produce high‑quality diagnostic reports.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to promote excellent patient care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with hospital policies and protocols.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with advancements in ultrasound practice and contribute to service improvement.

Requirements / Candidate Criteria

Essential

  • HCPC registration.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in sonography.
  • Competence across a range of obstetric and general ultrasound scans.

Desirable

  • Experience in the specific scans listed above (but open to different sonography backgrounds).
  • Driving licence (advantageous but not essential).
