What you will do:
- Serve as a nutrition consultant to healthcare teams, providing both direct and indirect nutrition care to patients.
- Identify and assess patients at nutritional risk, those on therapeutic diets, and patients with complex medical conditions to tailor individual needs.
- Monitor patients' progress for the efficacy of nutrition interventions, reassess nutritional status, and adjust care plans following established protocols.
- Provide counselling and education to patients and their families on drug-nutrient interactions, nutrition interventions, or therapeutic diets as needed.
- Respond to nutrition consults from physicians and healthcare teams, initiating the nutrition care process.
- Actively participate in patient care rounds and discharge planning meetings to promote a collaborative team approach.

Qualifications and registration required:
- Bachelor or Masters of Science from an accredited university with a major in Nutrition/Dietetics and at least one year of post-internship experience in a clinical hospital setting within the past three years.
- Local registration to practice with the Council for Allied Health Professions (CAHP) and must meet all re-registration requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to provide independent clinical nutrition care to a diverse range of patients requiring various levels of medical nutritional therapy.
- Commitment to maintaining clinical standards of care, personal and professional growth, and improving dietetic services within the hospital.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in liaising with members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
