What You Will Do

Leadership & Service Management

  • Assist the Team Manager in overseeing the statutory social work service for children with disabilities and their families.

  • Manage the specialist social work duty service, ensuring referrals meet eligibility criteria and families are directed to appropriate services.

  • Efficiently allocate casework and statutory assessments, ensuring compliance with nationally agreed timescales.

  • Maintain high service standards, promoting equal access to community life and safeguarding the well-being of disabled children.

Collaboration & Strategic Development

  • Collaborate with managers from children’s and adult services, working towards integrated and strategic service development.

  • Conduct assessments and provide services in alignment with Council policies, performance targets, and professional standards.

  • Drive growth and development within the specialist social work service, promoting best practice.

  • Provide expert advice and consultation to team members, contributing to the overall capacity of the service.
