Job Title – Development Technologist
Location –Ashford, Kent
Salary – £28,000
Shift – Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
Job Role
The Development Technologist will join a market-leading, UK-based fruit juice manufacturer and play a key role in exciting new product development within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The Development Technologist will take products from kitchen concept through to factory trials and commercial launch, ensuring every product is technically robust, compliant, and right first time. The Development Technologist will work on innovative juice, smoothie and functional beverage projects, collaborating cross-functionally while gaining exposure to large-scale manufacturing processes and continuous site investment. This Development Technologist opportunity is perfect for someone proactive who thrives in a dynamic production environment and wants genuine career development within a growing, forward-thinking food business.
Sector – Food Manufacturing
Non-Negotiable Requirements of “Development Technologist”
- Degree in Food Science or a related discipline
- Experience within NPD or product development (placement year or industry experience considered)
Requirements of “Development Technologist”
- Experience completing NPD documentation, specifications, and nutritional calculations
- Experience working within a food or beverage manufacturing environment
Desirable Requirements of “Development Technologist”
- Experience within fruit juice, smoothies, or beverage manufacturing
- Knowledge of packaging and sustainability trends
- Experience working directly with customers on technical projects
- Continuous improvement experience within manufacturing
