Family Support Practitioner – South Suffolk Family Support Team – Ipswich, UK
Earn £28-33k per annum, performance-related pay progression per assignment. Temp until April 26. Various – ideally full-time/part-time (minimum 3+ days) would be considered. Main Purpose of the Job:
This role aims to act as a catalyst for change by working directly alongside children, young people, and families. The job is essential in delivering proactive support and engagement, helping families overcome challenges and build thriving futures together.
What you will do:
- Communicate with children, young people, their families, and communities, building trust and understanding.
- Work directly with families using the Suffolk Signs of Safety and Wellbeing framework for effective support.
- Act as Lead Professional for families when necessary, managing relationships and liaising with other professionals.
- Use Suffolk signs of safety principles in assessments and participation in CAF and other processes.
- Address early signs of social, emotional, health, or behavioural issues for sustainable improvement.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions based on identified family needs.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to Quality Assurance processes.
- Provide information and signposting to relevant services for children and families.
- Build and maintain professional networks for effective multi-agency and partnership working.
- Identify and escalate risk and safeguarding concerns appropriately.
