This role is ideal for a graduate who wants hands-on experience working with pupils who require additional academic, emotional, or behavioural support.
The Role:
As a Graduate Pastoral Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students on a small-group and one-to-one basis, supporting pupils with EHCPs and additional needs, including:
- ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
- SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs)
- SAL (Speech & Language difficulties)
- Physical disabilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored academic and pastoral support to students
- Support behaviour regulation and emotional well-being
- Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum effectively
- Work alongside SENCOs, pastoral leads, and external professionals
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students
