Role overview:
As an Independent Reviewing Officer, you will provide independent oversight of care planning for Looked After Children, ensuring statutory compliance, safeguarding standards, and positive outcomes are consistently achieved.

What you will do:

Chair Statutory Reviews: Independently chair reviews for Looked After Children, ensuring care plans are outcome-focused and child-centred.
Independent Challenge: Provide robust oversight and challenge to ensure plans are timely, effective, and legally compliant.
Child-Focused Practice: Engage directly with children and families, ensuring their voices, wishes, and feelings are central to decision-making.
Multi-Agency Oversight: Work closely with social workers and managers to monitor progress and escalate concerns where necessary.
Safeguarding: Identify, act upon, and escalate safeguarding concerns in line with statutory frameworks.
Quality Assurance: Produce detailed review records and contribute to service quality and performance monitoring.
