Maintenance Engineer – (Manufacturing)

Commutable: Colchester ,Clacton-on-Sea, Harwich
Shift Pattern: 2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Off (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am)
Salary: £43,500 + Excellent Benefits

The Role

An established, globally operating manufacturing business is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This is a hands-on role supporting a high-output production environment, carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns on a wide range of industrial machinery. You will be working a days and nights shift, operating independently while closely supporting production teams to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and performance.

Key Responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer 

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery

• Working on electrical and mechanical faults

• Supporting continuous production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Working safely and efficiently to minimise downtime

• Communicating effectively with production and engineering teams

Whats required for the Maintenance Engineer

• Qualified Maintenance Engineer (Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled)

• Strong fault-finding ability (electrical or mechanical bias welcomed)

• Experience in a manufacturing or factory-based environment

• Comfortable working nights and operating independently

• Good communication skills (essential)
