What you will do:
- Assess and prescribe appropriate treatments for individuals experiencing substance misuse.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalised care plans.
- Manage and monitor patients’ progress, adjusting treatments as necessary to promote recovery.
- Deliver expert advice and support to patients as they navigate their journeys towards healthier lifestyles.
- Engage in needle exchange services and provide educational resources to reduce harm.
Requirements for the Non-Medical Prescriber:
- Recent experience working as a Non-Medical Prescriber or within Substance Misuse, Addiction, Drug and Alcohol Recovery, or Needle Exchange is essential.
- Must have an active NMC Registration.
- A degree in Nursing or the equivalent qualification is required.
