Seven Resourcing is looking for a Property Maintenance Officer to join our team in Chichester for an exciting opportunity. This full-time role, starting in February, is offered for an initial period of 2 months, with a competitive pay rate of £18.29 per hour via umbrella or £14.13 via PAYE. As a Property Maintenance Officer, you’ll work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, primarily out and about in a van, accompanied by a team member to support vital housing preparation tasks.

What you will do:
- Coordinate and perform the building and assembly of furniture for resettled families.
- Transport furniture to various locations ensuring they reach the right homes securely.
- Carry out painting and decorating tasks to prepare interiors for new occupants.
- Maintain and tidy exterior garden areas to provide a pleasant environment.
- Attend to minor repairs in household items to ensure everything is in working order.
- Work closely with the Property Preparation Officer to deliver on immediate housing needs.
- Communicate effectively in English with your team and members of the public.
About You:
We are searching for someone with practical facilities and building knowledge paired with excellent customer service skills. An enhanced DBS check is required for this role. You must also be open to the physical demands of the position, including handling and lifting items in various environments. A proactive attitude and a knack for problem-solving in property maintenance are essential as you support our Refugee, Resettlement and Migration Team.
