Safeguarding and Partnership Lead
Location: York
Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
-
Lead and champion safeguarding across the hospital, promoting a culture of transparency, safety, and accountability.

Provide expert safeguarding guidance to the Hospital Leadership Team, ensuring regulatory compliance and high standards of patient care.

Act as the primary link with external safeguarding partners (Local Authorities, Police, voluntary agencies).

Participate in multi-agency safeguarding meetings and contribute to case reviews.

Monitor safeguarding activity, producing regular analytical reports for senior leaders.

Embed learning from safeguarding reviews to drive continuous improvement.

Deliver safeguarding information sessions and training across the hospital.

Work collaboratively with external agencies to develop discharge packages from admission onwards.

Act as family liaison lead, ensuring clear communication with families and advocates.

Attend meetings with associate Hospital Managers to support robust decision-making.

Travel as required to fulfil role responsibilities.
About You
-
Safeguarding training at Level 4 or above.

Evidence of ongoing professional development in safeguarding or related areas.

Strong and up-to-date understanding of safeguarding legislation, policy, and best practice.

Confident in multi-agency safeguarding procedures and partnership working.

Able to provide authoritative advice to senior leaders.

Extensive experience safeguarding adults, ideally within healthcare.

Skilled in managing sensitive and complex safeguarding concerns with professionalism.

Willingness to work occasional unsocial hours.

Committed to promoting the rights, dignity, and safety of adults at risk.
