What you will do:
- Provide regular supervision visits and ongoing professional support for foster carers, ensuring their emotional wellbeing and development.
- Offer expert advice on behaviour management, attachment, trauma, and safeguarding, aiding carers through each placement.
- Collaborate closely with child protection teams and regulatory bodies, ensuring the welfare of every child remains the foremost concern.
- Contribute to placement matching, adhering to children’s specific needs and promoting permanency and stability.
- Engage actively in reviews, planning meetings, and other professional gatherings, always advocating for children’s best interests.
- Encourage continuous learning and reflective practice among carers, ensuring they meet national fostering standards.
- Support carers with implementing care plans and facilitate positive identity and relationships for children.
Requirements:
Candidates must be registered with Social Work England and hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work. UK Qualified experience is crucial, providing the foundational knowledge required for this senior role.
