Location: Argyll & Bute (Hybrid Working)
Pay Rate: £50 per hour
Contract: Temporary / Agency
Working Pattern: Hybrid working with a condensed 4-day week available if preferred
Seven Resourcing are recruiting an experienced Social Work Team Manager – Adult Services to join a statutory adult social care service in Argyll & Bute. The Role – Adult Social Care Team Manager
As a Social Work Team Manager within Adult Services, you will provide professional leadership and operational management to a team delivering statutory adult social care services. You will ensure high standards of practice, compliance with legislation, and positive outcomes for adults with support and protection needs.
You will play a key role in service delivery, staff development, and quality assurance while working closely with multi-agency partners across health, housing, and the third sector.
Key Responsibilities – Social Work Team Manager

Manage and supervise a team of social workers and practitioners within Adult Services

Provide professional oversight of complex statutory casework

Ensure compliance with adult social care legislation, policy, and guidance

Oversee assessments, care planning, reviews, and safeguarding activity

Allocate workloads and manage team performance effectively

Support staff development through supervision, mentoring, and appraisal

Contribute to audits, service improvement, and quality assurance processes

Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partner agencies

Maintain strong governance, risk management, and adult protection practice
Requirements

Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification

Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)

Substantial post-qualifying experience in Adult Social Work

Proven experience as a Social Work Team Manager or Senior Practitioner

Strong knowledge of adult safeguarding, protection, and statutory duties

Confident leadership, decision-making, and people management skills

Ability to work effectively within a hybrid and flexible working model
