What you will do:

- Serve as the independent voice for children and young people, ensuring their views shape their care decisions.
- Monitor and enhance care plans through regular evaluations including cared for reviews, pathway plan reviews, and adoption reviews.
- Chair Child Protection Conferences to develop clear plans that safeguard children at risk of significant harm.
- Hold the Local Authority and partners accountable for high-quality practice and outcomes for children and their families.
- Promote safety and wellbeing through collaborative, multi-agency work, ensuring excellence in safeguarding practices.

What we are looking for:

- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
- Minimum 5 years of frontline experience in children and families work, or experience as an Independent Reviewing Officer/Child Protection Advisor.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Relational and strength-based approach to work.
- Commitment to outstanding practice with children and families.
- Ability to travel across Northumberland and work flexibly.
