What you will do:

• Manage a caseload of children and families, ensuring a holistic approach to those subject to Child Protection and Children In Need processes.

• Undertake comprehensive assessments including risk assessments in line with GIRFEC principles, developing detailed Child’s Plans.

• Lead and contribute to child protection case conferences, core groups, and multi-agency meetings, advocating for the needs of children and families.

• Develop and implement child-centred plans, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and development of each child in your care.

Person Specification:

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent)

• Evidence of continued professional development

Registration & Compliance

• Must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)

• Knowledge of pertinent legislation, including the Children (Scotland) Act 1995, the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014, and GIRFEC principles

• Membership (or willingness to obtain) with the PVG Scheme is required
