Job Title:

Working Pattern:
• Hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office
Job Purpose:
• To deliver high-quality social work services to children and families within the Children & Family Team
• To safeguard and promote the welfare of children through effective assessment, planning, intervention, and review
• To work collaboratively with families and partner agencies to achieve positive, sustainable outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a caseload of approximately 18 children, including Child in Need, Child Protection, and Children in Care cases, with some court work
• Undertake timely and robust assessments in line with statutory guidance and local procedures
• Deliver evidence-based interventions that improve outcomes for children and families
• Engage directly with children through face-to-face visits, ensuring their views and wishes are central to decision-making
• Prepare high-quality reports and documentation for meetings, reviews, and court proceedings
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to develop and implement effective care and support plans
• Maintain accurate and timely case records using provided digital systems and technology
Essential Requirements:
• Social Work England registration
• Proven experience working within Children & Family social work teams
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding practice
• Experience managing CIN, CP, and CIC cases, including court-related work
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
